The Risk & Compliance function is a Second line of defence (LOD) function, responsible for reviewing and challenging the activities of the Group’s businesses (also referred to as “the First LOD”) to ensure that they effectively manage as “Risk Owners” the risks inherent in or arising from the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible. The Second LOD consists of 'Risk Stewards' who are independent of the commercial risk-taking activities undertaken by the First LOD. The Risk & Compliance function is a Risk Steward for a number of non-financial risks in accordance with HSBC Group’s risk framework. The LAM Transformation Manager (Data) roles is to provide support in the execution and implementation of the Risk & Compliance data strategy in Mexico and the region. The position will collaborate with the overall Risk & Compliance roles. The role holder should communicate, educate, train and promote best practices of data management through Risk & Compliance. The role is key to comply with Group Data Policies and should lead the implementation of the required processes in data management. Is the gate keeper to ensure high quality in the data Risk & Compliance generates and/or uses across the region and the one shared with other Group entities (When required). Main Responsabilities: Key responsibilities include: • Ensuring Risk & Compliance in the region adheres to the HSBC Data Policies and Data Standards. • Ensure that the region applies appropriate data management strategy including business data elements (BDEs), reference data management and trusted source framework for Risk & Compliance, whilst identifying any region-specific differences. • Working with Regional DAO teams and validates the Risk & Compliance (consumer) data quality results that are published on a monthly basis for the region • Working with Regional DAO teams to co-ordinate and assist in resolving data quality issues for the Region. • Responsible for influencing the prioritization of data quality issues and the resolution, so as to ensure data in the Risk & Compliance systems is fit for purpose. • Responsible for maintaining effective Regional stakeholder engagement to promote awareness of data quality standards and expectations and communicate any changes to the Risk & Compliance data strategy to the Regional Risk & Compliance stakeholders |
