Job Responsibilities:

Manages the technological aspect of production processes, with a positive mindset, while following the client’s quality, cost and service requirements.

• Management/update/maintenance of translation memories
• Technical support throughout the life cycle of projects
• Takes responsibility for QA working methods. Sets the criteria and working methods for working with X-Bench, memoQ and other available tools on the market. Works with other teams to improve automated methods throughout the QA and preproduction process
• Assists in the creation of price quotes involving Language Engineering
• Takes responsibility for machine translation domains. Identifies recurring errors, analyses machine efficiency and provides feedback
• Assists in layout and DTP projects
• Works constantly towards improvement of efficiencies and innovation
• Is always updated with the industry’s technological advancements

REQUIREMENTS

Education Level

Essential:

Bachelor’s Degree in Translation, English, German, etc.

Bachelor’s Degree in one of the team’s subject matter areas

Desirable:

Training in programming (IT)

TRAINING Training requirements

Essential:

Training in assisted translation tools

Training in translation

Desirable:

Knowledge of Computational Linguistics

Knowledge of programming (IT)

Experience

Essential:

Experience working at any LSP workplace

Software

Essential:

Command of Assisted Translation tools (MemoQ, Trados, WordFast, etc.)

Command of translation support tools such as X-Bench, etc.

Desirable:

Command of text layout programs

Knowledge of machine translation post-editing
