Dow Chemical has an opportunity for a Latin America North Region Logistics Sourcing Manager, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and manage a portfolio of Road, Warehouse and Intermodal Logistics services to improve Dow's cost position (in terms of EBIT, Cash Flow, Total Procurement Benefit) and supply reliability in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process.

  • Develop, adapt, and implement the purchasing strategy in the region.

  • utilizes business acumen and analytics to drive value from the market, influence stakeholders and vendors

  • Be responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and/or geography.

  • Manage supplier performance facilitating complex problems-solutions.

  • Leverage supplier relationship management and drive decisions according to market conditions, ESG elements, such as Sustainability, Inclusion and Diversity, Innovation and Digitization.

  • Lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives locally or globally.

  • Act as a reference for colleagues with less experience, guiding and collaborating with their learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field like Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, etc.

  • Fluence in English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus.

  • 5+ years of industrial experience (Logistics, Purchasing).

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent Data Management skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability and experience to work with and influence multiple functions and businesses stakeholders is appropriate for success in the role.

  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance and direction
