Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company headquartered in Katy, TX with an expertise in the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries. OPD is part of the larger Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) organization which provides a variety of capabilities across many industries.
What You Will Do
- Lead and participate in the design foundations for all the equipment and structures such as skids, pipe racks, platforms.
- Responsible for development of structural steel supports, foundation systems, general arrangement diagrams, drainage plans and detail drawings.
- Assist the Lead Engineer to complete the project scope.
- Participate in proposal preparation activities if required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor or higher degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with professional registration (Cedula Profesional - SEP) in Mexico.
- Strong proficiency in structural design experience for infrastructure projects, including static and dynamic design.
- Proficiency in civil & structural technical drawing & design.
- Competent use of civil design software including Autocad, CADWorxs or similar, etc.
- Competent use of Navisworks.
- Use of structural design software including RISA 3D, RISAConnection, RISAFoundation, LPILE.
- Knowledge of engineering principles for analysis and design
- Familiarized with international codes such as ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.
- Ability to travel to US during short periods (Valid passport and visa)
- Valid driving license
- Fluent in English oral and written communication.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Strong experience participating in oil & gas projects.
- Experience in Geotechnical and / or hydrologic analysis.
- Proven experience of accomplishment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve construction and engineering issues.
- Competent use of RISAConnection and RISAFoundation.
- PE Engineer registration (Canada or US).
