The team at Panametrics, a Baker Hughes business designs and manufactures a range of sensing instrumentation and sensors that are utilized in a vast array of market segments. Panametrics is looking for a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to work collaboratively with Global cross functional teams to develop state of the art, next-generation industrial sensing products, solutions, and platforms. Key responsibilities include requirements definition, documentation, architecture, design, algorithm development, and validation.

Baker Hughes is looking for a Lead Engineer to work collaboratively with Global cross functional teams to develop state of the art, next-generation industrial sensing products, solutions, and platforms.
As a Lead Embedded Software Quality Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Ensuring the quality of software products by creating and applying Embedded Software (Firmware) quality tests to a feature, set of features, or whole feature area.
• Working independently and contributing to the immediate team or to other teams across businesses.
• Being comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function.
• Having knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space.
• Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
• Communicating across direct organization. Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
• Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in area of expertise.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Have a working knowledge of C/C++, possessing an ability to read and understand code in order to understand the nature of test failures.
• Have demonstrated experience with CI (Continuous Integration) tools like Jenkins, Robot Test Framework, etc.
• Have demonstrated experience with Version Control Systems, specifically GIT.
• Have advanced written and verbal communication skills, specifically in English and Spanish.
• Have experience with Test Driven Development strategies is desired.
