Lead Frontend Software Engineer

This is a remote contract position for candidates in Mexico.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, standardize and enforce code quality, standard convention and best practices through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Architect and provide technical design and guidance to engineers.
• Create performant CSS animations.
• Work with product owners and project managers to break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines and to resolve issues.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or similar
• 8-10 years of professional software development primarily on frontend
• 5 years of React/Redux and Jest experience
• Experience in responsive web design and cross-device compatibility issues
• Experience writing and maintaining automated unit test cases with Jest
• Work in an Agile development environment (Scrum & Kanban) with Continuous Delivery
• Experience developing software with a team in a professional and collaborative environment
• Fantastic verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized thought process
• Strong debugging, profiling, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to build high-quality products

Preferred

• Experience with NodeJS with Express backend and Python serverless function development
• Experience with microfrontend and microservices
• Experience with Azure, JFrog, or similar CI/CD best practices
• Experience using both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience leading 1-3 engineers
• Knowledge of Kotlin, Swift, and Unity SDKs development
