WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Tealium is seeking a highly motivated Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This is a remote position that will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring a team, as we venture into a new market in Mexico. This position will be responsible for leading a team of SRE/DevOps. Engineers based in Mexico. This includes mentoring, initiative planning and collaborating with peers in US, EU and APJ on follow the sun incidents and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of experience among SaaS architecture, industry-proven ITIL practices and modern agile delivery patterns.

Technology Stack:

  • IAC: Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins,

  • AWS Services: EC2, S3, EKS, EMR (and glue), Lambdas, MSK/Kafka, Kinesis

  • DB: Dynamo, Redshift, Postgres, Mongo, Redis, MySQL

  • Languages: Python, Java, JS

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Drive operational rigor working globally with the US, EU and APJ SRE leaders.

  • Define and deliver KPIs on system platform performance and health.

  • Drive a culture of innovation, problem resolution, knowledge sharing, and foster a collaborative environment within the team.

  • Collaborate and execute on Cloud Engineering Operations initiatives.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of systems to ensure high levels of reliability, scalability, and performance.

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure ast code (laC) practice is to support a dynamic and scalable SaaS platform.

  • Lead incident response efforts, ensuring swift resolution of production issues and minimizing impact on services.

  • Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on system performance, reliability metrics, and key initiatives.

  • Mentor a high performing team of Engineers in the successful implementation and maintenance of reliable and scalable systems.

WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS (>10 services).

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical management capacity within a SaaS 24X7X365 environment.

  • Experienced with software development and/or scripting, CICD and infrastructure as code tools (Go, Python, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Jira/Confluence).

  • Experience in a Lead SRE/Production Operations role with strong mentorship skills

  • Proven experience with sophisticated AWS services and systems running at scale (millions to billions of transactions per day). (EC2/ALB, EKS/Kubernetes, AWS CLI).

  • Strong time management, organizational, oral and verbal skills required.

  • Ability to articulate technical challenges and proposed solutions in a succinct, clear manner for all organizational levels.

  • Strong experience with modern observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, trending and dashboarding methods and tools. (DataDog, SumoLogic, Opsgenie, Cloudwatch, Prometheus).
