The primary function of this position is shipment of finished products and other key materials for the regional CAS team to domestic and international customers, suppliers and other JM sites. Primary responsibility for receiving and proper inventory control of materials sent to our warehouse. Sets shipment delivery dates based on coordination with supply chain team, commercial, suppliers and production facilities to ensure on-time deliveries are met to achieve business targets. Works with third-party freight partners to meet on-time delivery to support business needs and verifies that partners are following JM policies. Regional expert on international and domestic shipments, shipping terms and all customs, DOT and other critical shipment documentation.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and requirements and JM EHS policies and procedures
- Employee will comply with all Johnson Matthey Hazardous Waste procedures and be responsible for executing shipment of these and other waste materials as needed in a safe manner
- Strong working knowledge of and compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Utilize ERP system to assess requested delivery dates and assign promised shipment dates to sales orders
- Facilitate biweekly supply chain team meetings to ensure alignment with supply chain specialists, JM production schedules and quality to meet promised delivery dates
- Work with customer service team to ensure OEM customer product releases are captured in ERP
- Schedule material for domestic and international shipments to meet customer requirements
- Coordinate with regional supply chain team and sales to fulfil customer shipping requirements, including interfacing with customer web-portals and other systems
- Coordinate material delivery between JM sites, primarily Devon, Queretaro and Redwitz
- Ensure accurate and complete records are maintained for shipments and accurate paperwork is prepared for correct delivery and receipt of materials
- Primary oversight of freight charges for the regional business unit for a complex and unique supply chain
- Approval of charges and collaboration with finance to ensure shipping charges are coded to appropriate cost centers and sales orders
- Review and approve freight charges billed directly to customers
- Responsible for timely and accurate receipt of all materials delivered to the Audubon warehouse
- Timely collaboration with finance at month end to resolve receipt, shipment and freight costing issues
- Other duties as assigned or required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Foreign Trade & Business or a related field desirable
- 1~3 years logistics experience including knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control and domestic/international traffic procedures
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is required
- Knowledge of US customs requirements is required
- Experience with SAP desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
