Logistics Plant Planner (Level 7)

Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for executing deliverables in support of the logistics organization's business objectives.
- Provides support of one of the key areas within Logistics and / or Containers organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
- Communicates within the function as well as other functions, external affiliates, regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
- Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
- Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures.
- Promote GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions.
Removing Roadblocks & Resolving Issues/Complaints: Observes and steps up to remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues.

Work Apropertly

This is a hybrid role; this position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis

What you will do?

Partner with Production Control and Manufacturing to represent Finished Vehicle Logistics and communicate transportation requirements, align on production schedule, and design Rail and Truck requirements to meet Revenue Recognition, dwell time commitments, optimization targets based on network design and KPIs and plan successful launches for future programs (ICE and EV).

Critical Skills:
1. Automotive industry experience
2. Strong working knowledge of logistics and supply chain

3. Knowledge of production control
4. Capable of interpreting large amount of data
5. Able to interpret basic engineering documents

6. Solid knowledge in optimization and cost reduction initiatives

7. Strategic thinking for Network design

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree is required. Degree in International Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or other related areas

Required Experience: +5 years

• Ability to travel at least 50% of time between SLP and Silao mainly, including international travel
