The Manager of Landscaping will be is responsible for overseeing all outdoor activities related to the Resort landscaping, planting, maintaining flowers, grass, trees, shrubs and irrigation systems.

  • The Manager of Landscaping is the primary person responsible for the Grounds Management and Landscape Maintenance program.
  • This position interfaces on a regular basis with the department heads, suppliers, subcontractors, facility employees, and guests to ensure that the Landscaping Department is responding appropriately to the Resort's current and changing needs.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of Landscaping staff and all Resort approved grounds subcontractors providing services.
  • Day-to-day work scheduling, dispatching, and supervision of Landscaping staff and subcontractors, adhering to Resort's policies and procedures, and implementing policies and procedures where appropriate.
  • Day-to-Day Communications, activities include alignment meetings, reporting, clarifying work requests, and providing Resort with weekly, monthly, and annual reports, and specialized reports as needed.
  • Using landscape safety guidelines and programs, develop an environmental safety and sustainability program that complies with requirements.
  • Arrange for providing grounds related training, equipment training, safety training, or other processes related training to promote multi-skilled work utilization.
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape maintenance and related fields.
  • Hotel or resort experience highly preferred
  • 3+ years leading a landscaping team.
  • Landscaping equipment knowledge.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
