The team you will be a part of

The Quality Assurance team analyzes and implements quality standards for components, materials or services. Applies measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures to ensure that quality standards are met. Prepares reports and recommends improvements. Collaborates with suppliers and ensures effective corrective actions are implemented when needed and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs

This role in summary

Works directly with the supplier to be the single quality contact for Whirlpool. Drive the supply base toward operational excellence by developing their ability to improve product and service quality performances through the application of effective preventive and problem solving tools and techniques.
Assures application of tools and processes with supplier. Focus on proactive prevention and predictive work with suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include

Responsible for executing APQP requirements for New Products Introductions.

2.- Responsible for supplier quality system improvements.

3.- Serves as the initial point of contact for short term issue resolution enabling longer term solutions.

4.- Responsible for monitoring and improving monthly supplier performance at the Whirlpool divisions.

5.- Responsible for driving supplier systemic improvements and implementation of global tools and process (8D, Drill Deep/Drill Wide, etc.).

6.- Responsible for Supplier Qualification Audits.

7.- Work with suppliers to develop manufacturing processes using purchased item qualification development tools (e.g. PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Map, etc.).

8.- Responsible of First Pass Yield and OTD (On time delivery) metrics of PPAPs.

9.- Develop TCQ projects

Minimum requirements

Engineering Manager 3 -5 years

Technician Associatte

Engineer Project


IS0 9000 and/or TS16949

Knowledge of OPEX/Six Sigma tools and Lean is desirable.

APQP and PPAP

Desired experience in Steel company with Automotive Industry segment

Experience working in manufacturing engineering related field

Experience working in supplier quality engineering

Preferred skills and experiences

ENGLISH LEVEL Proficient
