SUMMARY: • Responsible for directing and managing the functions of Manufacturing Automation department. MFG Automation team is responsible for designing and developing new hardware for Align’s mass customization process, as well as optimizing existing processes utilized in production.
The leader also participates in the development of remote plant projects in other countries. Development and pursuit of new technologies to be applied to the manufacturing processes. All quality related activities must comply with the ISO 13485 standard.
Responsible for following up on the compliance and provision of training of their personnel.
MAIN OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Project development and implementation
• Participation in the implementation of new processes/products
• Support continuous improvement projects
• Support start-up of Remote Plants
• Project Coordination (Automation and Processes)
• Engineering/Maintenance Activities/Project Collaboration
• Automation of manual processes in the manufacturing area
• Reduce cycle time and increase process productivity
• Other responsibilities may be assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure that project goals are met
• Ensure that projects are aligned with the company's goals
• Participate in supplier development for the manufacture of new equipment
• Participate in the validation of new production lines
• Collaborate in the validation of new technologies
• Supervise and coordinate activities to achieve other goals established by the company
• Be an example of compliance, respect, discipline, punctuality, order, cleanliness, etc.
• Establish work plans to achieve established goals
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sr. Automation or Automation Managers
• Project Managers
• Automation Control Engineers
• Mechanical and Machine Design Engineers
• Hardware Deployment Supervisors

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and World Class Manufacturing Courses
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (preferred)
- Experience in similar position (preferred)
