For our Industrial Assembly Solutions (IAS) Customer Center in Mexico, we are looking to add a Market Intelligence Analyst (m/f) to our team. IAS is a division within the Industrial Technique Business Area of the Atlas Copco Group, dedicated to providing the most comprehensive assembly solutions to our clients with our riveting, flow-drill fastening, adhesive and electronics dispensing technologies.
YOUR MISSION
The mission of the Market Intelligence Analyst is to take ownership of client and prospects mapping, mapping of the general automotive market in Mexico, the manufacturing of autoparts and vehicle platforms, and of competitors of Atlas Copco IAS in Mexico. Responsible for mapping all possible applications of our Industrial Assembly Solutions technologies in the Mexican market, indicating in which processes and in the fabrication of which products our technologies have potential, according to the different sales regions. Conducting permanent follow-up of the prospection of mapped clients together with the sales team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigation and mapping of possible applications for our Industrial Assembly Solutions technologies (riveting, flow-drill fastening, adhesive and electronics dispensing) in manufacturing processes of OEMS and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
- Research and mapping of prospects in each sales zone in a differentiated and precise manner, for optimal use by the respective sales engineer.
- Constant update and management of client database (contacts and prospects) in the C4C system and/or in Excel.
- Determination of market potential of our Industrial Assembly Solutions technologies in Mexico, based on conducted research and thorough mapping.
- Follow-up and analysis of footprint of competitors of our technologies (riveting, flow-drill fastening, adhesive and electronics dispensing) in clients and prospects regarding type of applications, equipment and price.
- Search, compilation and preparation of information from multiple digital sources for mapping and analyzing the Mexican market.
- Support the sales engineers in an effective manner with precise and validated information.
- Generate concise reports and presentations for the Business Line Manager IAS and its use in management and divisional meetings.
- Continuous revision of mapping progress together with the Business Line Manager IAS
- Interaction with the global Business Intelligence unit of the IAS division in Germany.
- Occasional national and/or international travels
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Experience related to the automotive industry
- Previous work experience related to investigative activities, market analysis, mapping and prospecting of clients is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced English - working proficiency
- Use of applications such as C4C, Salesforce, or similar
- MS Office, particularly advanced use of Excel
- Data analysis
- Research and interpretation of commercial and technical data
- Preparation and presentation of data
- Valid passport and US visa preferred
- Availability to travel (permanent residence can be either in Puebla or any other industrial center in Mexico)

University degree - Bachelors' or Masters' degree
