Master Scheduler

Overview

Responsible to assure Attribute Set-up and Maintenance, inventory management in order to maintain Service levels for North America.

Functions

• Part set up impacts how inventory flows and proper set up improves order flow.
• Inventory management has a direct impact on cash flow. Keeping inventory levels at reliable quantities while reducing excess positively impacts business.
• Demand inputs created by the Master Schedulers feed information to suppliers and impact availability and flow of material
• Review open orders and determine actions as needed regarding MPS, POR, late review
• Create build and ship plan for the next 3 months based on backlog and demand patterns
• Identify and communicate current and potential items in danger of becoming late and get buy in for resolution
• Adjust forecast and/or safety stock based on demand trends and service levels
• Adjust ABC classifications, and other planning attributes based on spend and usage history
• Adjust assembly Bills of Material and Assembly routings as necessary to satisfy special requirements.
Review ATP (Available to Promise) to ensure customer lead times and adjust inventory levels as needed
