BAT MEXICO IS LOOKING FOR A MEX SECURITY MANAGER

SENIORITY LEVEL: Senior Manager

FUNCTION: Legal - Security

LOCATION: Monterrey, Mexico

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

To provide a continuous, co-ordinated, and comprehensive risk management and security service, of the highest quality, ensuring that threats to EM personnel, assets and business operations/activities are properly identified, evaluated, and countered in a timely and cost effective.  Aligned to the Corporate Security Strategy, organize, coordinate, and control activities, processes, and resources under its responsibility in compliance with the functional objectives of preventing and mitigating the likelihood of risk and incident occurrence. Supporting the Managers involve in cases where the company assets are compromised and other situations arising around their responsibility.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Provide timely advice based on analysis/assessment of security risk/threat and impact to enable well informed business decision.
  • Contribute to Planning Cycle to meet corporate security and local business objectives and develop and execute security plans to meet company business objectives.
  • Continuously review, implement, and maintain effective security policy, procedures, and practices to ensure safety and protection of personnel, assets, information and business operational activities.
  • Implement, monitor, and control security strategies to protect sale routes and wholesales nationwide, to minimize the risk of loss of company assets and to preserve the physical integrity of employees. Protect every TM&D facility within its area of responsibility, to avoid losses of company assets and preserve the physical integrity of people working in them.
  • Elaborate monthly security incidents report and management performance indicators to be presented to the Head of Security.
  • Drive effectiveness and efficiency of the Security Operations budget and other related costs.
  • Monitor and supervise the adequate performance of security services (alarm systems, Video surveillance, Communications and GPS), preventive and corrective maintenance programme in each facility at nationwide level.
  • Coach and develop the security team under its responsibility consistent with the role profile and business needs.
  • Build effective internal network and proactively provide security and other possible support to all MEX employees to achieve their business objectives and the integration of security services within its area of responsibility.
  • Maintain effective liaison with relevant external stakeholders especially Law Enforcement Agencies/Intelligence organisations and other government agencies to obtain practical and material assistance for the business.
  • Continually seek opportunities for innovation and increase efficiency on security system, process, and measures within its area of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's Degree required, related to security.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience inBusiness Risk Management, Investigations, Information Management, Assets and Personal Security, Security Intelligence and Liaison, Information Security, and Crisis Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to direct and supervise staff and to establish interpersonal relationships at different levels.
  • Experience in maintenance of effective liaison with key government authorities, non-government organisations, security industry representatives and industry related Security Managers.
  • Able to identify threats to company personnel, assets, intellectual property, installations and operations and conduct security reviews.
