JOB DESCRIPTION


Position Description

The Investigator role will be responsible for managing alerts and investigations relating to transactional activity of clients and related parties as well as other ad hoc projects, including preparation of regulatory reports. The role will also include ensuring the feedback loop from investigations is undertaken and KYC is updated accordingly. The position will form part of the Regional Monitoring & Investigations team, and also be accountable to the local Head of GFCC and MLRO.

Responsibilities

  • Manage alert review and disposition from the transaction monitoring systems
  • Undertake case investigations of potentially suspicious activity
  • Ensure feedback from AML monitoring and investigations is recognized in the client’s KYC documentation and reflected in their risk categorisation.
  • Aid in project roll-out and UAT for monitoring system deployments.
  • Prepare metrics and other reporting based on requirements

Qualifications

  • Well organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes.
  • Demonstrated skills in risk assessment. The ability to make sound decisions, including escalation when appropriate
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written English and Spanish.
  • Ability to use information effectively and have an eye to detail.
  • Proactive and team oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint).
  • Interest in subject.
