Responsibilities and authority
- Providing direction, schedules and supervising the entire operations of the mold engineering department.
- Analyze and present Capital Expenditure Request projects
- Responsible of providing systematic solutions to improve Quality Metrics
- Provide Guidance on Scientific Molding and Core molding tools to molding process engineers
- Controlling engineering activities and following up new mold making actual to comply with planned and customer requirements.
- Monitoring and prioritizing workflow of production to meet deadlines.
- Supporting new model, mold drawing, mold repairing, preventive maintenance, and process improvement.
- Creating the work instruction of all products to support injection production and customers.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Providing training on various line jobs to new staff.
- Completing daily paperwork and handing various upper management individuals.
- Develop optimal parameters process sheet, setup and process instructions, first article approval report, process flow diagram and PFMEA documentation.
- Manage cost saving / improvements projects CTR’s,
- Provides direction according to established policies and management guidance; administers company policies that directly affect operations. Recommends policy changes.
- Has full authority for personnel decisions e.g., hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
- Authority to stop a process in which there is the possibility of harming the environment or/and that is outside environmental legal compliance.
- Authority to determine the environmental impacts and aspects of its activities, personnel, as well as products that it can control.
- Authority to propose the necessary training to improve the environmental management program
Specific qualification, knowledge and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering fields, Tools & Die Design, Plastic Injection or related field.
- 5-10 minimum years of related experience in the manufacturing industry (with injection molding experience prefered)
- Demonstrated experience with leading multiple complicated projects in both the short and long-term.
- Experience and ability to operate sophisticated molding equipment and sound knowledge of molding processing and variables
- Experience within Mold/Cavity Pressure Transducers controlling fill to pack transition.
- Experience as a Processing Engineer
- Experience in scientific mold
- Experience and knowledge in machine and molds
- Experience in robot’s and secondary equipment’s
- Automotive Industry experience desired
- Ability to read, interpret, understand and create technical drawings and schematics required
- Must have solid problem-solving skills (preferably Problem-Solving tool knowledge: KT, Six Sigma, 8D, etc.)
- Knowledge in CAD and mold flow
- Injection Molding Machine Robotics
- Plastic mold tooling design expertise, processing engineering, and customer interfacing skills.
- New mold qualification by develop D3 process by matching edart template
- Trouble shooting skills for the entire cell of injection molding manufacturing process.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Proficient English
- Strong aptitude for problem-solving Mentoring and people management.
- Experience working in cross functional teams
- Effective communication
- Knowledge applicable to the position in IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
