The Sourcing Commodity Manager will be responsible for managing all activities for assigned products. The primary objective will be to establish and execute a sourcing strategy to achieve the business objectives and goals. Demonstrate a strong understanding of best sourcing management techniques, practices and strategies including strategic sourcing; fact based negotiations; supply market analysis; supplier relationship development; and optimizing total cost and total value of the assigned products globally.
Responsibilities:
• Develop an effective supply-chain strategy to successfully source minerals and Chemicals,
• Analyze supplier market and propose new supply sources to increase quality and reduce costs,
• Identify and assess potential suppliers based on cost, reliability, and quality,
• Negotiate cost reductions from current and new suppliers to maximize profitability,
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain effective relationships with suppliers,
• Manage funnel of cost saving projects,
• Manage supplier contract.
• Maintain strong working relationships and communications with suppliers.
• Engage with multiple teams across supply chain including but not limited to sales, marketing, finance, engineering, and operations.
• Price increase/decrease tracking.
• System maintenance on item pricing
• Develop alternative suppliers.
• Analysis and reporting on Minerals and Chemical commodities.
• Willing to travel up to 30%
Requirements:Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or engineering
• 7+ years of purchasing or strategic sourcing experience supporting multi-site operations.
• Strong business acumen around procurement, inventory, and supply chain management
• Solid operations/manufacturing background
• Experience working with purchasing systems and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of key suppliers in the Minerals/chemical industry
• Previous experience with Minerals
• Ability to read prints/drawing/specifications along with technical specifications.

• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to function as team player.
• Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish is also required.
