Our Detroit branch is looking for a new National Sea Logistics Training Intern to join our Sea Logistics team.

Your Role

Our National Sea Logistics Training Intern will collaborate with our Sea Logistics Operational Care Center team to help deliver regular training in a positive and welcoming environment. You will learn about talent development and our Sea Logistics operations to improve the knowledge and training of our Sea Logistics collogues on a national scale.

Your Responsibilities

  • Facilitate induction, refresher, and basic training sessions for our local teams
  • Help design and develop effective instructor-led course materials with clear strategies to achieve desired learning objectives
  • Maintain, review, and revise existing learning content
  • Partner with subject matter experts to analyze performance gaps, design, develop, and deliver engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes
  • Awareness of and adherence to QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment, Security & Dangerous Goods) programs
  • Learn hands-on from our colleagues on the Sea Logistics Operational Care Center regarding a variety of topics including talent development and Sea Logistics operations, utilizing that new knowledge to analyze current training modules and methods for improvements

Your Skills and Experiences

  • This role is open to current students as long as they can commit to a 40 hour, five day work week with four days in-person in our Detroit office and one day work-from-home
  • Completed or working toward a degree in Human Resources, Talent Development, Logistics, Business Development, etc. 
  • Must be comfortable presenting to groups of 15-20 people
  • Proficient in MS Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
