Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. The role requires the ability to provide strategic and architectural guidelines to relates general networking.
- Delegate duties and tasks within the Networking department.
- Ensuring active network operation and high availability (switching, routing, WLAN, security, cloud)
- Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance.
- Monitoring and baselining of the network status. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks (Bandwidths,
- Network monitoring / network management to detect and eliminate faults at an early stage.
- Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results.
- Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry.
- Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.
- Manage network infrastructure installations and upgrades at Festo sites
- Network vendor(s)/contract support
- Testing, planning and operation of new network technologies and integration into the existing
- Plan operational readiness and acceptance for new projects and configurations
- Support operation, manages Technician's activity, and resolves escalated issues
- Engage with contractor and define objectives on incident management
- Schedules routine preventive maintenance to avoid major incident and fault occurrence
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of Skype4Business and MS Teams
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, SAP, and Linux systems
