Your Job

Molex is an end-to-end provider of Innovation, Development and Manufacturing Solutions serving pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device customers. Our Nogales Sonora location is seeking an Operational Excellence Leader. This role will be responsible for leading, mentoring and managing Molex Operational Excellence journey including the effective implementation and management of Operational Excellence principles, systems, and tools. The Operational Excellence Leader will lead the development of a culture of continuous improvement that relentlessly identifies and drives out waste. They will engage, lead, and mentor team members in improvement projects that result in meeting or exceeding safety, quality, and cost (SQDC) expectations that drives superior performance and contributes to recognition that Phillips-Medisize is an employer of choice and a preferred partner to our customers.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and lead process improvement projects and teams to drive continuous improvement and cultural change and report to out to upper management monthly.
  • Maximize operational performance by proactively identifying areas for improvement, leading lean initiatives and projects, utilizing lean tools and techniques, analyzing and reporting key metrics, communicating continuous improvement activities and training team members to accomplish the same
  • Lead the development of a culture of continuous improvement that is biased toward action and driving SQDC metrics improvements
  • Lead by example and embed company culture as the foundation of the Operational Excellence strategy
  • Lead and mentor the evaluation of operational metrics and trends, PDCA thinking, scientific thinking, root cause analysis, and standard work at all levels of the organization
  • Lead projects to achieve business, quality, and compliance objectives
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to achieve SQDC metrics and site initiatives. Solutions must be driven to completion.
  • Utilize excellent project management skills and experience; Effectively communicating, and demonstrating successful organizational and planning skills
  • Network externally to develop skills and contribute to the Phillips-Medisize Operational Excellence system and strategy
  • Partner with safety and quality organization leaders to optimize SQDC performance and identify safety concerns
  • Some travel to other facilities may be required to support business needs

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 2+ years of experience in the practical application of Operational Excellence principles, systems, and tools such as (8 Wastes, 6S, process mapping, value stream mapping, SMED, TPM, Kaizen etc.)
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Medical device or manufacturing experience
