The Operations Engineer will be working in an agile team within the Thales Digital Identity and Security (DIS) Business Line, for the On-Demand Connectivity (ODC) products.
As a Site Reliability Engineer for the Cloud Center of Thales ODC team, you will apply software engineering skills to operate and maintain the Thales software and system.
This position will be responsible to work on the following:
• ODC – On Demand Connectivity
• M2M – Machine to Machine
Responsibilities
• Provide Tier II technical support of hosted and managed services.
• Continuously improve service reliability, performance and security of the services.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers on traffic trends, analyze the impact of mid-term business changes on capacity requirements.
• Participate in capacity management processes and security audits.
• Design and implement changes into the systems.
• Adapt solution parameters to make architecture evolutions.
• Maintain and enhance internal tools to improve service industrialization.
• Participate in the handover from set-up to production.
• Participate in the Pre-sales, deployment and integration of the solutions form the Support perspectives.
• Definition of production requirements.
• Leads Team member based on his technical knowledge and provide technical guidance.
• Driver of the cloud transformation from the Support perspectives and transfer the knowledge to the Team member.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in IT support and at least 2 years in an autonomous level.
• Technical knowledge and competence in the following applications:
• SQL or Oracle database queries, writing and execution.
• Weblogic, kubernetes, casandara administration.
• Experience of AWS, Google cloud environment.
• Ticketing tools, modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Unix/Linus or Shel scripting is a must.
• Fluent English to communicate is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and be analytical.
• Strong results orientation with follow-up skills.
