About the Position
Contracts and Procurement
Provide initial review of procurement requests, to ensure compliance with Namati’s procurement policy
Update and maintain approval workflows in the procurement request platform, flagging bottlenecks and facilitating expedient approvals
Troubleshoot technical issues in the procurement request platform, working with Namati staff to resolve problems and get what they need for their work
Assist teams in ensuring that draft contracts adhere to approved Namati templates and contracting best practices to expedite review and fulfillment
Serve as a thought partner to teams in creating realistic and specific scopes of work for new vendor agreements
Capacity Building and Knowledge Management
Support the Global Operations team in developing and rolling out engaging training around internal policies and processes
Support the maintenance of Namati’s intranet/internal knowledge hub, ensuring Global Operations information is always accurate and that helpful resources are always available and up-to-date
Coordinate with other program and cross-cutting teams to identify knowledge gaps in internal policies and processes among staff, and help create plans to fill those gaps
Other Global Operations Duties
Support larger Global Operations initiatives around partnerships and agreements
Coordinate with Namati offices and global staff to facilitate regular internal updates, to be shared in channels including Slack, Signal, and Namati’s internal newsletter
Provide backup support for other Global Operations colleagues on event planning and logistical support
Manage external communications and track invoices via general inboxes
Enter and track expense reports related to the Global Operations team
Provide rudimentary technical support to Namati staff (resetting passwords, etc)
Provide other operational/administrative support as needed
Here’s what you might have tackled recently -
Reviewed a draft Request for Proposal created by the Resource Mobilization team, and provided edits to strengthen the document and better comply with Namati procurement standards
Provided logistical support to the Sierra Leone LEC team as they planned a large international workshop
Created training materials for staff to understand recently implemented changes in our Travel policy
Fine-tuned global procurement approval workflows
Created a provisional timeline for developing and rolling out training on how to use the Knowledge Management platform to better organize written resources, based on a troubleshooting conversation with a staffer on the Network team

Ability to work effectively across borders and cultures
