ACTIVITIES:

• Provision, configure, and maintain Oracle Cloud databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Implement and maintain database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database schema and SQL queries.
• Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
• Manage database user accounts, access controls, DB Links, Sched Jobs,
• Stay current with Oracle Cloud technologies and best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
• Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a Cloud Environment.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security best practices in a cloud environment.
• Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure

PLUS skills (not a must, only desirable):

• Oracle certifications e.g., Oracle Certified Professional
