THE POSITION

  • Serve as a member of the leadership team in Juarez.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Finance organization.
  • Lead controlling processes, including input assessment, data capture, controls and governance and evaluation of systems capabilities, including coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Develop, update and maintain financial reporting policies for financial processes, and ensure those policies are communicated effectively across the organization.
  • Lead preparation of annual budget and forecast; prepare weekly and monthly reports on financial performance of the site.
  • Act as a liaison between Finance, Environmental Health & Safety, Legal & Compliance, and HR to establish processes and controls around climate and sustainability-related disclosures.
  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking of and sustainability disclosures relative to our peers, other corporate and sustainability leaders, and industry trends.
  • Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
  • Develop and monitor financial performance metrics. Provide input into Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience in a Maquiladora Manufacturing Environment, with a financial reporting emphasis preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Taxes regulation experience with MX government agencies. (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT).
  • Knowledge of Mexico GAAP, reporting, corporate governance, internal controls and other statutory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a time sensitive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills capable of interacting with peers and senior leadership.
  • A self-starter with strong project leadership and passion for problem solving within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills.
