POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Principal II of CICD acts as a technical expert, focusing on providing expertise, guidance lead designing, building, testing, implementing CICD Pipelines including evaluating and implementing new CICD Tools/Solutions. This role coordinates with other cross-functional teams to automate Software Delivery leveraging tools to automate Build, Testing, Deployment and Rollback mentoring/guiding DevOps Engineers in providing consultation and technical support for life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and configuration.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Level II
• Services as technical owner to ensures delivery for 1 initiative or significant segment of work
• Performs deliverable reviews and coaches team in area of expertise in Release Management
• Mentors team and enables better application of Release Management principles
• Contributes to, and curates, the group’s best practices
• Adopts Agile principles to work collaboratively with others to refine and release a proposed design incrementally
• Provide continuous competitive and best-practices research, leverage industry resources and market trends, and liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to inform requirements, drive and evaluate projects
• Escalates risks and resolves issues to enable team delivery
• Helps to foster a fun, collaborative and supportive culture in which we are able to make career defining work.
• Ensures team delivers high quality, accurate, viable, and reliable products
• Identifies areas of improvement in Database processes and recommends solutions to address gaps
• Provides guidance for teams for full end-to-end implications of technical and service decisions
Skills Required:
• Experience working with Linux & Windows OS along with Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
• Experience working with DevOps Automation tools - Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Artifactory, Google Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Argo CD/Flux
• Experience with Public Cloud Platforms – Azure, GCP
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS, GKE), Helm, Service Mesh
• Experience to configure and create CI/CD pipelines for Apigee, Kafka, MongoDB and Adobe AEM
• Experience integrating Application Security Tools such as: SAST, DAST, SCA and IAST in the CI/CD pipeline, configuring Security Gates with focus to shift security left (Snyk, Synopsis, Contrast, Burp suite)
• Experience working with Monitoring/Observability tools – Splunk, Dynatrace
• Experience designing and implementing secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
• An understanding of programming languages and software build process for C#, Ruby, Perl, Java, Python and PHP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to technical and executive audiences

Certificates / Training (Preferred):
• Azure / Google Cloud Certifications
• AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
Preferred
• Experience working Google Anthos, Apigee and Confluent Kafka
• Good understanding of Application Security Architectures and Guidance
• Knowledge of threat modelling and risk assessment techniques
• Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats, current best practices and latest software
• Experience in configuration of Web Application Firewall Rules using Akamai
• An understanding of Infrastructure as Code and tools - Terraform, Ansible
Experience Level II:
• 7 + years experience in Release Management with deep expertise in one area
Education Required:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
