Product Engineering Leader

Leads a function focused on the optimization of the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment in cooperation with Production management and Research and Development

Your responsibilities

  • Ensures that the production process aligns with the project targets, approves the design, both for internal or external developed process, and performs the final test in accordance with the projects data. Ensures the efficiency of all external production processes.
  • Defines production costs and the sequence of the working phases of a new production process in order to minimize cost and maximize quality.Develops and proposes the estimated budget of investments necessary for the development of new products and processes.
  • Supports the Supply Chain Management department in selecting suppliers, evaluating the technology and capacity, and determining the best option.
  • Cooperates with R&D or international teams in the optimization of technical standards and supports engineers in the definition or configuration of new design rules. Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost.
  • Reinforces and maintains a culture of health & safety in all production development initiatives.
  • Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

    • Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related
  • Eight years of experience in manufacturing processes (two years in manufacturing/engineering changes and three years in new product introduction processes).
  • SAP - NPI's, experience in the engineering change process - In the review and capability of manufactured parts (doubling, punching, etc.).
  • Experience woking with Power BI is desirable.
  • Green Belt, ISO9001 and has worked in the engineering department is desirable.
  • Two years of experience as people leader.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills, clear communication, Collaboration, teamwork, results oriented and courteousness.
