About the team

The Office of Strategy Management (OSM) Operational Excellence and Projects Coordinator will be a highly skilled and proactive person with this position, ideal candidate will provide the Head of OSM and functional leadership team with accurate analysis of performance that links strategic objectives, key results and key performance indicators and highlight areas of risk and opportunities for greater strategic alignment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of operational excellence initiatives to streamline processes, reduce or avoid costs, and improve efficiency across the organization.
  • Coordinate strategic projects and initiatives within the Office of Strategy Management and the hub, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find opportunities for improvement, develop action plans, and drive implementation of process enhancements.
  • Facilitate project planning, execution, and monitoring, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare regular status reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting project breakthroughs, key accomplishments, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization, driving innovation and promoting an approach of excellence and accountability, using appropriate tools and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, TQC, etc.
  • Ensures coordination of the different team members, business areas involved on a project and ensures adherence to targets.
  • Prepares presentation materials for management reports.
  • Evaluates and supervises the performance and efficiency of programs to ensure that program implementation is on target.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks and all parts involved in the project.
  • Ensures the production of reports or analyses, to meet quality standards, and provides interpretation of data.
  • Prepares and/or edits meeting agendas, minutes, presentations and tables.
  • Prioritizes workload, and that of others as appropriate, to achieve personal and work unit targets.

Skills and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, process improvement, or operational excellence, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a consistent track record of successfully leading sophisticated projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Agile, with a focus on driving measurable results and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with collaborators at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Passion for driving change and making a positive impact on organizational performance and effectiveness.
  • Ability to work well in and across diverse, global teams and proven track record to influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language.

Desirable skills:

  • Master's degree or MBA desirable.
  • Experience with process mapping tools and techniques
  • Experience creating and publishing periodic scorecard metrics/risk indicators.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insight against indicators.
