We are to hire a Quality Project Engineer at our Location in El Salto
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting quality performance deliverables and attaining customer and quality related targets for new projects.
- Statistical analysis, presentations, and data analysis are all essential for collecting monitoring, evaluating and communicating data for new products in new product introduction process.
- Perform capability studies for new products and processes.
- Identify customer requirements for new and modified products.
- Guide problem solving process for all significant internal issues.
- Assess risk of customer issues at key junctures in product development.
- Report and Assess Reliability testing results for new products. Complete Quality Plan for all new products.
- Communicate development status of new products on quality milestones to guidance.
- Lead APQP efforts for product transfers with cross functional teams utilizing quality tools for this type of Advanced Product Quality Planning effort
- Lead and contribute to the following quality systems and/or activities: Manufacturing Sample Lot Quantities, PPAP's, Control Plans, P-FMEA, capability studies, SPC, Gage R&R, problem solving and preventive quality actions at the receiving manufacturing facilities
- Utilize tools such as root cause analysis through 8D problem solving, design of experiment and poka-yoke in support of the receiving facility to ensure quality level remains unchanged or improved
- Participate in validation test plans for quantity, test length and test type for each product family with product engineering
- Track and report product quality performance showing impact by product family or SKU
- Communicate and implement quality initiatives at manufacturing facilities
Requirements:
- Previously held role as a Quality Engineer or Project Quality Engineer.
- Must have customer experice launching products with Ford, GM, Nissan, Toyota, Tesla, Stallantis within others.
- Working knowledge of Product Delivery Process and tools.
- Problem Solving (8´D methodology).
- ISO TS 16949
- APQP Methodology
- PPAP Methodology
- GD&T reading.
- Core tools
- Fixtures / Gauges design and manufacture.
- Moderate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; willing to learn company & customer systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency
- Five (5) years of work experience in the automotive or similar industry.
- Three (3) years of work experience in one or more of the following areas: Quality, Program Management, Engineering, Operations.
- Previous experience in assembly operations and/or painting, is desirable
- Project leadership experience in a matrix organization is a plus.
