Position: Full Stack Engineer,  Research Tech@Lilly

Competency with .Net + Full Stack:
Should possess strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using the .NET framework, with proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and object-oriented programming principles. Key competencies should also include expertise in developing responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks, such as React, as well as hands-on experience with server-side technologies, including Node.js.. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical specifications, implementing secure database solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The candidate is expected to contribute to the full software development lifecycle, write clean and maintainable code, and stay current with emerging trends in .NET development. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential.
Competency with ITSM:
Should possess a solid foundation in ITSM frameworks like ITIL and practical experience in incident and problem management, change control processes, and service level management. Proficiency with ITSM tools, such as ServiceNow, along with the ability to configure and customize these tools, is essential. Strong communication, coupled with a collaborative approach, are crucial for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in process improvement methodologies, metrics tracking, and compliance, as well as the ability to analyze and resolve complex IT issues. Familiarity with configuration management, knowledge management, and risk assessment, as well as a proactive approach to continuous improvement, are also key attributes. Additionally, experience in vendor management, training, and documentation will be highly valued in this role.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

• Proven experience as a .NET Developer with expertise in C# and ASP.NET.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their integration with .NET applications.
• Familiarity with Web frameworks such as Node.js, React.js, and hands-on experience on ORMs.
• Understands business requirements and effectively translates business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa. Coach and guides the junior engineers in code review, technical queries, etc.
• Collaborate with ITSM and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Possess experience in working with SQL or  PL/SQL or Oracle databases.
• Applied knowledge of IT Service Management and implementation experience, encompasses all the processes, procedures.
• Assist in bridging skillsets and facilitate knowledge sharing across the development team, fostering a cross-functional environment where every team member can effectively contribute
• Using problem-solving skills, you will strive to quickly identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs for optimal user experience.
• Maintain existing applications via debugging and continuous updates, ensuring code quality, organization, and automation
• Perform code reviews and participate in pair programming sessions
• Work in a modern Agile environment to deliver customer value with regular cadence

Basic Requirements & Experience Expectations:

• 5+ years of experience in industry performing software development. 
• Strong knowledge of .NET Core development, including proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and familiarity with Entity Framework Core, LINQ.
• 4-year (bachelors) degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar field
• Proficiency with at least one Object Oriented JavaScript Framework (React, Angular, Ember, Dojo, Node etc.). 
• Hands-on experience with Incident Management, Change Management, Release Management with ITIL best practices
• Hands-on experience in Python development
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), Jenkins, and GitHub Actions is essential for this role.
• Proven cloud development experience AWS or AZURE or Hybrid Cloud
• Experience in Python development
• Proficiency with Object Oriented Programming, multi-threading, data serialization and REST API to connect applications to back-end services.
• Understanding of IT life cycle methodology & processes.
• Experience in understanding and Leading Enterprise Platform /Solutions
• Experience working with Microservices/Service Oriented Architecture Frameworks
• Good Understanding on Middleware technologies
• Possess expertise in at least one unit testing framework like Mocha / Pytest

Additional Skills/Preferences:

• Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience working on applications supporting biology and/or chemistry laboratories and/or familiarity with scientific assay data
• Experience working with teams across organizational and geographic boundaries and multiple levels within the organization
• Strong teamwork, self-management, problem-solving abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in multiple common tech languages
• ITIL Certifications
