Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Manager LATAM

Summary
The Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Manager LATAM will be responsible for leading a team of Regulatory professionals across our Consumer and Flavor Solutions divisions who focus on developing Regulatory solutions for business initiatives, enabling growth, ensuring compliance, and delivering best in class service for our customers. This position will actively engage cross-functionally to ensure internal and external regulatory requirements are met and emerging Regulatory issues are appropriately managed.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Leads a team of regulatory employees who develop, maintain, and distribute technical information to internal and external customers
- Cross-functional collaboration: Represents Scientific and Regulatory Affairs on regional business initiatives and commercial strategy development. Implements business strategy as it relates to Scientific and Regulatory Affairs
- External Engagement: Represents the department and company in external engagements with customers and external bodies (e.g. trade associations)
- Deliver Business Success: Drives results through development and management of Regulatory KPIs with on-going metric progression to improve business results; identifies opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
- Escalated Issue Management: Supports resolution of internal, customer, and supplier issues
Additional/Secondary Responsibilities
- Ability to apply industry best practices in daily operations
- Ability to apply and assess appropriate processes and compliance programs while understanding business impact
- Ability to apply food regulations to critical business decisions
- Interaction with legal counsel and regulators
- Training and development of internal and cross functional teams on emerging regulations and/or issues
Required Qualifications
Level of Education and Discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
Experience
- Experience in at Regulatory Affairs or related function, including Quality or Product Development preferred
- Experience in the Flavor Industry preferred
- Team Leadership experience required
