Who are we looking for?
We are seeking Safety Operations professionals to join the SAOO Business Support Division. This role will focus on engineering safety and operational safety, particularly in projects during the design phase. Responsibilities include assessing system integrity, auditing safety programs, and leading solutions development for safety enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise management on loss and fire prevention policies, standards, and procedures, recommending improvements for risk management programs.
- Review existing company standards, procedures, and instructions, proposing cost-effective safety enhancements to align with international standards.
- Monitor long-term trends in loss/fire prevention engineering and advise management on company responses.
- Research emerging safety technologies, conduct feasibility studies, and cost analyses for improved safety solutions.
- Serve as an expert resource for risk identification and mitigation throughout facility lifecycle phases.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or related fields, with international safety certification recommended.
- +15 years of safety operational experience in the oil and gas industry or diversified manufacturing plants.
- Ability to introduce new procedures, designs, and technologies for proactive process safety management, along with credible influence without positional authority, is essential.
- Strong technical expertise in loss prevention and process safety, including design engineering, hazard identification, incident investigations, and safety management systems, is required.

4. Conditional Offer:
A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
