JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the MASTER PRODUCTION plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with a monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast.

• Develops the manufacturing MASTER PRODUCTION schedule, which includes preparation of monthly SOP Planning Rate Sheets and daily Production Schedule planning activities.
• Collaboration with the Inside Sales Team and customers when required to improve Customer Service levels through Ability to deliver focus.
• Performs daily SAP transactions including, but not limited to, reporting production, Transfer of Inventory, resolving daily errors.
• Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
• Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
• Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
• Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
• Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
• Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
• Performs other related duties, as required.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge: 

• Strong background in Material Requirements Planning (MRP & CRP), especially in shop floor and capacity planning         
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Inventory & Materials Management principles
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to perform in highly dynamic environment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Principles
• Analytical Thinking - Refers to collecting, analyzing and structuring information using a wide perspective in order to identify key issues and patterns as well as to drawing conclusions.
• Teamwork - Means the ability to work with others and build a positive climate and trusting relationships within teams.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Relevant Experience

Skills:
• Strong analytical skills
• SAP navigation skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize activities

Education/Certifications:
• Bachler’s Degree, Materials Management, or Related Field. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• 3-5 years of Relevant Experience Preferred
• APICS Preferred
