The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security.The Senior AWS Cloud Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize cloud-based solutions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall success of our cloud environment.Responsibilities
• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
o Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, including but not limited to networking, storage, computer services.
o Manage and maintain IAM access and permissions to cloud platforms.
o Monitor and optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness.
o Maintain documentation and tagging of all cloud assets.
• Security and Compliance:
o To Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud environments.
o Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
o Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
o Collaborate with support teams to ensure timely problem resolution.
o Track all requests and incidents in Service Now.
o Periodically perform on-call duties for after-hours support.
• Automation and Scripting:
o Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for efficient resource management.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with development, engineering, and security teams to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions.
o Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery:
o Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery for cloud-based infrastructure and data.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Administrator with a focus on AWS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization practices, asset management, and change management.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
• Proficiency in AWS services (VPC, EC2, Systems Manager, AWS Backup, S3, Route53, Load Balancing, CloudFront, IAM, Certificate Manager, API Gateway, Transit Gateway, and Lambda), and equivalent services in Azure, MuleSoft, OCI.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments.
