Your key responsibilities:

• Implement global category strategy at local level OR implement sourcing business plan for area of responsibility; directly deploys global category strategy at site level.
• Supervise the implementation of sourcing plans for the sub-category & deliver sub-category savings targets following engagement in the target setting process.
• Provide input into the overall Category segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships or may directly control purchases with respect to supplier choice, timing and commercial conditions on a local basis (may vary between divisions depending on way spend is controlled).
• Support the collection of supplier, market, Category and internal business information at both the Category and sub-category levels. Assist the coordination of materials for supplier segmentation processes, as defined by the Novartis Supplier Performance and Innovation Framework and advised by the Global Category Lead.
• Create, apply, complete and reviews major contracts for the sub-category and ensure that negotiated contracts are clearly communicated for the sub-category area and that they are consistently applied [Cross -Divisional/Pharma spend $12 -$25m NCH/SDZ/NVD/NIBR spend $10 -$20m].
• Lead strategic sub-category supplier relationships, and implement consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, ensuring that any supplier performance risks and issues are resolved on a timely basis to end-user satisfaction.
• Direct reports 0 -5 -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable) & Support strategy implementation focused on corporate services.
• Sourcing validation and analysis from business users, country procurement organization or category managers: a) Direct users on correct buying (content streams) channels if required. b) Engage category teams where defined thresholds are met.
• Activities scope and sourcing plan definition, opportunity analysis.
• Supplier selection requested risk analysis performance verification and update.
• Inputs collection and sharing to category managers on overall category strategy. & eSourcing event management and monitoring, supplier communication, supplier training, bidding analysis, pitch presentation organization.
• Document and communicate final award decision: Finding opportunities to improve and automate recurrent processes, thus allowing greater focus on value adding activities. &Report productivity as per Procurement guidelines and support measurements / activities to improve. defined critical metrics -Contracting activities -Performance, Compliance and Standards.
• Responsibility of 100 Mio usd

• University/Advanced level degree needed.

• Master’s Degree/other advanced degree in the Economics, Finance or related areas is preferred.

• Proven experience in spend reporting, analysis, and optimization.

• Experience with eSourcing and contracting tools.;

• Excellent communication, people management, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

• Ability to ensure service focus across a complex people intensive and functionally dispersed organization.

• Advanced Analytical & Conceptual thinking, organizational skills, results oriented and proactive.
