The Opportunity

Our location in Scarborough, ME currently has an opportunity for Senior Facilities Engineer. In this role, you will provide strategic facility planning, design, specification, change and project management services. Develops and maintains the controlled space strategy to drive redundancy, resiliency, stability, and efficiency.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Conduct feasibility studies, plans, and provides budget input for facility modification, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
  • Provide strong project management services.
  • Write Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCE) and implements projects.
  • Investigate state of the art equipment being introduced into the market for energy conservation.
  • Write specifications and call for bids for best pricing and installation.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Works with CMMS Admin to ensure new assets are set up in the Maintenance Management System with appropriate PM frequencies. Ensure Change Management practices are employed at the completion of Project.
  • Ensure project close out activities are completed, such as As-Built Drawings, BAS Sequence of Operations, and spare parts lists and manuals are provided to Facilities
  • Lead facility commissioning initiatives on newly installed equipment and support Corporate Engineering and Commissioning functions during new construction and expansion activities.
  • Drive plant and equipment reliability improvements utilizing methods such as FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.  Understand where the facility is at risk for manufacturing disruptions and implement improvements to the infrastructure to lower the risk to the business.
  • Select vendors/contractors for approved projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors/contractors for project planning, requirements development, management, and project completion.
  • Manages the site technical and as-built drawing, and technical document library
  • Establish a strong understanding of operating conditions and environmental specifications required for GMP processes.
  • Develop a long-range training plan for junior engineers and facilities technicians
  • Provide technical counsel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • B. S. in Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in related industry.
  • Prior experience in facility layout, design, and project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, controls, HVAC, project management.
  • Ability to work closely with the different functional groups/trades to communicate the scope of the work and manage projects.
  • Ability to interact at the C-level
  • Effective communication skills with outside engineering consultants, vendors, and contractors

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • PMP Certification
  • Professional Engineer License

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
