Senior Flavorist / Flavorist

GrassGreener Group is working in partnership with €multi-billion European Flavor and Ingredient manufacturer, with numerous R&D & manufacturing sites across 6 continents and more than 20,000 employees worldwide.

We're looking for a Senior Sweet Flavorist, with expertise in Sweet & Beverage creation to join their team in Mexico to work on projects both across the LATAM region and for key global customers. Ideally, we are looking for a senior professional with leadership characteristics who can mentor Junior and Trainee Flavorist's who will become the future of this company and industry.

This person will be responsible for the management of flavor development, both creation and matching, using raw materials of natural and/or synthetic origin and all those chemicals approved for use in food and beverages, to respond to customer requests and market trends, in the sweet segment.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for plant implementation of new developments, using optimal production processes, which guarantee reproducibility, with correct operating costs.
• Responsible for defining the critical points of quality of flavors developed and ingredients used, ensuring the functionality in the applications required by customers, ensuring sales growth, giving assertive response to the assigned projects.
• Development of flavors, through creation and countertypes, with sweet profiles: fruity, citrus, chocolate, seeds, caramel. milk, vanilla etc.
• Management, administration and leadership of assigned projects.
• Management of the activities inherent to the development of flavors, using the systems of formulation and administration of projects.
• Maintenance and updating of the pallet of raw materials.
• Definition of specification characteristics and critical control points of new developments.
• Define the right and optimal production processes for new developments.
• Ensure the correct and assertive response to the needs of customers, taking care of the functionality in the application, cost in use and stability.
• Generate a relationship of trust with customers. Implementation of new developments in the plant Sales growth through new businesses.
• Give technical support to the areas of quality and production.
• Contribute to updating the flavor library through developments with new flavor profiles for the EUM of Beverages, Dairy, Bakery and Confectionery.
• Contribute to the training of Jr Flavorist's and Training.

You?

• Have you been working as a qualified Flavorist for more than 10 years?
• Do you have expertise in Sweet Flavor creation, with a particular focus on the Beverage category?
• Do you have comprehensive knowledge of flavor analysis methods, such as gas chromatography, emulsions, spray dry, encapsulation etc.?
• Do you have a highly proactive and dynamic attitude?
• Do you have experience mentoring junior professionals and an interest in progressing into team leadership?
