We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of : Senior HR Consultant WPB
Role Purpose:
· Provide a first class HR service to HBMX through close partnering with Senior Leaders.
· Help drive relevant HR HBMX Change programmes and the strategic people agenda, thinking ‘function first’ and aligning to the strategic direction set by the Senior Managers as well as Local, Regional & Group HR ensuring high levels of operational excellence for HR activity demonstrating continual improvement
· Operate as the ‘conscience’ of the businesses and live the HSBC values, bringing them to life for others in a way which builds understanding and ownership across HSBC’s businesses and preserves its reputation.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Ensure relevant HR interaction with Business Leaders/ discussing with the relevant Centers of Excellence and HR Operations areas as necessary.
· Has a deep understanding of the business/HR’s current and strategic agenda and helps ensure the people strategy directly support this agenda.
· Proactively communicates and helps embeds the people strategy, working with the business.
· Helps the Implementation of a consistent approach to impact organizational development and succession/resourcing, analyzing and identifying business resource gaps.
· Conducts capability analysis, resolves any gaps through resourcing activity, career development or performance management and manages succession planning for relevant business area.
· Understands and helps forecast learning demand and collaborates with the Centre of Excellence to ensure learning programmes meet the needs of the business.
Major Challenges:
· HR has a significant role to play in realizing HSBC’s business strategy. This will require not just the translation and execution of the Group-wide People Strategy and Group business imperatives globally and locally, but also the function to operate in a globally unified and coherent way.
· The HSBC business is transforming and HR needs to follow the pace of transformation. HR will need to be a change consultancy to the business whilst simultaneously changing itself.
· There is increasing recognition that people and organizational capability is a source of major competitive advantage, one that cannot be easily copied.
· New thinking around how HR can add strategic value is gaining momentum, and expectations from senior management are high.
