Senior Manager Credit and Collection - LATAM

Senior Manager, Credit and Collections LATAM will be responsible to lead and supervise the credit and collections, and cash app teams in Donaldson’s LATAM businesses. This role will define the strategy of the credit and collection department of LATAM region.

Responsibilities will include credit analysis and approval, risk management, collecting outstanding receivable as well as ensuring the right cash app and customers account reconciliation, follow up and communication with stakeholders.

Essential Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned:
 

Collections and Cash App

  • Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances to assist the business with evaluating the continued effectiveness of current collection policies.
  • Builds strong relationships with the commercial team, customer service and other stake holders withing the LATAM Organization and corporate as well as with external customers.
  • External lawyer or collection agencies relationship management to follow up and collect past dues.
  • A/R reconciliation overview, documentation, communication, and support.
  • Supervises on site and remote working team.
  • Ensures timely and accurate business/financial reports and month end activities
  • Credit and collection KPI definition and analysis.
  • Supports different initiatives seeking for process improvement and efficiencies.

Credit

  • Assigns team responsibility for assistance with investigating and verifying financial status of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and assisting with recommendations for rejection or approval of credit applications.
  • Assists with establishing credit limitations on customer accounts and assists with processing requests for special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment as well as negotiating payment plans with customers with the appropriate approval levels.
  • Ensures compliance to credit and collections policy, procedures as well as other procedures and regulations such as SOX and DCI’s guidelines.
  • Establishes and maintains documents customers' documentation and works on defining guarantees to support credit limits.
  • Bad debt accrual and variances analysis
  • Sales orders release oversight.
  • Assists management in the development of credit policies/decisions.

Requirements


Must possess a high level of emotional intelligence and ability to prioritize and work on concurrent projects with little supervision and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Accounting or Business Administration bachelor’s degree
  • Over 10 years of experience in Credit and Collection, including financial analysis.
  • At least 5 years of experience as people leader.
  • Preferred LATAM Regional Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle R12 management. Oracle BI, GetPaid, and Tableau. 
  • Detail-oriented individual who can prioritize and multitask both over electronic and phone
  • Excellent customer service, control oriented, business analytics, communication, proactivity, continuous improvement focus on efficiencies, standardization and automation of processes
  • High sense of urgency when assisting customers
