We are searching for the best talent for Senior Planner to be in Juarez, Chih., MX.

Purpose:

Under limited supervision for those projects of considerable importance and duration, plans, prepares, generates and controls production programs and keep track of information regarding raw material availability ensuring a continuous and controlled flow of material approved with the purpose of complying with the production requirements. Identifies, monitors and controls the levels inventory in process required in the production cycle.

If CSS Position: This position will have responsibilities across ETHICON and Cardiovascular and Specialty Solution (CSS) Companies Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies) including a span of multiple product platforms such as General Surgical Devices, Sutures, ENT, Infection Prevention, Electrophysiology and Surgical and Non-SurgicalAesthetics

You will be responsible for :

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Weekly publishes detailed production programs, consistent with the Master Production Schedule (MPS). This, under the frame of capacity and material established, as well as the production restrictions and programs for related work centers.
  • He / She Is in charge of generating, printing and monitoring work/production orders (WOs) according to the MPS.
  • Keeps planning parameters in JDE for the products assigned with the frame of the established inventory policies. Also, provides maintenance to JDE to ensure the proper functioning of MRP.
  • Performs daily monitoring of production activities (real against planned), through determined reports and through physical inspection of the production floor.
  • Maintains priorities while expediting, when necessary, availability of production in process to ensure the maximum level of customer service. Interacts with the departments of purchasing, production, engineering, master planning, quality, etc. to expedite certain activities that could place the production program under risk.
  • Analyzes and monitors the inventory levels to comply with the goals established in the business plans, as well as to avoid obsolete, surplus material.
  • Maintains wide communication with planners / buyers of sibling plants, approves and coordinates the shipment of material to other plants, when necessary.
  • Interacts with engineering to provide support with production orders of evaluations/validations that are necessary for his/her area.
  • Participates in the process of developing production programs to provide support to the launching of new products.
  • Provides appropriate support while replying to questioning related to the product, as well as with special requirements.
  • Performs necessary administrative tasks, including the preparation of information for reports.
  • Provides help and acts as a guide for less experienced planners.
  • Is responsible for the personal compliance with the federal, state, local and company regulations, health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for planning and monitoring work order supplies and returnable budgets.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

External Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in a related area.
  • Masters or postgraduate are desirable.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of forecasting, master planning, strong knowledge of MRP, JIT, capacity planning, inventory administration, production planning and production floor control techniques.
  • Efficiency in the use of personal computers and associated software.
  • Ability for the use of computer manufacturing systems (e.g. JDE, Manugistics and/or SAP)
