Job Description

What you get to do in this role: 

The Customer Outcomes team at ServiceNow works with customers to help them achieve their business outcomes by providing customer success services and expert services. The team’s purpose is to accelerate customers’ adoption of the ServiceNow platform, enabling customers to realize value faster, reduce costs and reduce risks.

The role of the GRC Senior Technical Consultant must have in-depth hands-on development experience with risk software applications and solutions.

  • Technical Development using ServiceNow platform, implements all technical aspects of service delivery to the highest level of quality (measured against customer expectations) and is capable of solving technical problems unresolved by Technical Consultants
  • Understanding of ServiceNow Implementation Methodology
  • Ability to answer most questions and develop stories within their specialist area.
  • Ability to delegate work based on competence to partners, customers and more junior consultants
  • Maintains an understanding of the wider technical environment sufficient to provide contextual advice to Technical Consultants in respect of the end-to-end business solution
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize own schedule and deliver within potentially high-pressure business environments.
  • Maintains relevant knowledge relating to certifications and current best practices, including augmenting the company’s body of knowledge by originating and delivering best practice collateral in the form of technical papers or presentations to colleagues and contributing to community-based media.
  • Timely & accurate compliance with services processes (i.e., schedule management, reports, expenses and timecards for billing).
  • Understands, produces and maintains all relevant project documentation

Technical development:  Demonstrates advanced level technical knowledge in more than one area of specialization, including multiple approaches to solutions, as well as strong understanding of competitive approaches and products. Acts as a technical expert across multiple engagements, guiding team members to define and deliver successful customer solutions. Works to design new solutions within broader architecture so that they can be delivered (with coaching) by other team members.

Consultative perspective:  Consults and influences (providing options with pros, cons and risks) while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving technical or business process issues. Stays connected to market influences and client situation / issues to identify and proactively initiate broader concept and outcomes conversations affect current and potential future projects. Acts as a strategic business partner to sponsors/clients and develop transformative solutions building from initial solutions. Act in the best interest of clients by weighing short- and long-term client needs, business impact and risk, and providing effective counsel.

Manages complexity:  Assesses complex issues from multiple angles in order to get the complete picture. Evaluates the potential consequences and implications of different options. Identifies the underlying issues and root causes of problems. Incorporates new information and concepts when solving problems.
