About the role The Inventory Control Tower Sr. Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management, visibility, and optimization of inventory across our global supply chain. By utilizing advanced analytics, tracking systems, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, the manager will enable seamless inventory management and ensure that product availability meets demand.
The Inventory Control Tower Manager is essential to the company's financial health, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role balances the demands of various stakeholders, uses data-driven insights to make informed decisions, and strives to keep the supply chain running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities: As a SIOP Inventory Control Tower Sr. Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Inventory Monitoring & Analysis: Regularly analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock movement across all locations to identify trends, potential shortages, or excesses.
Inventory Optimization: Utilize advanced forecasting tools and methods to predict future inventory needs and optimize inventory levels, minimizing holding costs while ensuring product availability.
Data Management: Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring data accuracy in all inventory management systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with SIOP, Finance, Supply Chain, BU leadership, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams to align on inventory needs and priorities.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance inventory processes and tools to ensure they are efficient, up-to-date, and meet business needs.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on inventory metrics, including stock levels, turnover rates, potential stockouts, and other KPIs.
Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for any inventory-related issues and drive resolution in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the inventory process and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Training: Train and guide other team members on inventory best practices and new tools or processes as needed.
Deliverables: Preparation / facilitation of weekly inventory updates.
Creation of weekly reports with data extracted from systems.
Ensures inventory actions are being taken by the sites.
Requirements As a minimum you must have:
Adequate English level to handle fluent and assertive conversations (written and spoken).
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Availability to work on-site at Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon (Plant B).
10+ yrs experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related area OR advanced degree & 7+ yrs experience.
Proficient MS Office suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5% travel availability.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Lean DNA.
APICS Certification.
Experience leading and working with multicultural teams.
Proficiency with inventory Management and ERP systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of inventory forecasting techniques and tools.
Familiarity with lean methodologies or Six Sigma.
