POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The SRE Engineer III is a vital member of our organization's Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the SRE Engineer III contributes to the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and efficient systems. This role involves proactive monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and automation to optimize our technology stack.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Collaborate with development teams to design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve the reliability and performance of applications and services.
• Implement and enhance monitoring and alerting systems for early detection and resolution of issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex system and application problems.
• Participate in incident response activities, including timely resolution and post-mortem analysis.
• Automate routine tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization of infrastructure components.
• Define and measure service-level objectives (SLOs) and ensure adherence to them.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on our systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
Skills Required
• Strong understanding of established architecture and development patterns.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event driven architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD.
• Experience in application development and integration. Preferably Java.
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience in cloud platforms and services such as Azure, GCP or AWS.
• Experience with log management and analysis tools like Splunk.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Certificates / Training:
• Required: Certifications demonstrating industry recognition for area of expertise
Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience in similar role, managing or operating at large-scale complex production systems.
• 5+ Years’ experience in design & development of end to end complex applications
Education Required:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred
• Advanced Technical Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience with big data technologies platforms like Apache Kafka.
• Experience with international or multi-level marketing business
• Advanced certifications for related fields such as DevOps Certifications, Cloud Administration or Docker/Kubernetes Administration.
• Advanced certifications related to monitoring or observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk.
• Expertise with monitoring and observability tools like Dynatrace.
• Experience and understanding of database technologies.
• Expertise and knowledge of advanced networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
