We are currently looking for a Lead Attorney for HBS NorthAmerica, reporting to the LATAM General Counsel. This position will beresponsible for installation, service, energy, and generalconstruction contract management for HBS.

Position Purpose

 
To provide leadership, direction, and consultation to the HBSLatin American and North America business team for the contractmanagement function, driving consistent policies and processesin support of business objectives and contributing to the organization'sachievement of goals and objectives, while satisfying its customers.

Main Responsibilities

• Support newbusiness development activities including cross-functional review ofconstruction contracts and related documents, including, for example,contract review and understanding of general contractor orsubcontractor contractual flow downs, RFQs and bid assistance,collaboration with the Law Department to obtain approval of non-standardcontract terms, purchase order review and acknowledgement and associatedcontract/purchase order execution.
• Provide ongoingsupport and leadership in a team environment so as to evaluateand resolve complex business issues and to assist in setting appropriatestrategies relating to contract negotiation and claimsresolution.
• Ensureconsistency and legal compliance with respect to Honeywellofferings and marketing materials for Building Automation in Latin America, Contractmanagement and risk assessment policies, and Honeywellpolicy in Latin America
• Provide adviceon a wide range of supply chain and procurement related legal and businessmatters, including supplier disputes, subcontractor negotiations, andlabor reform.
• Negotiate difficultand complex contractual issues.
• Draft, analyze,interpret, and develop contract terms and conditions.
• Oversee, adviseand support change order negotiations.
• Providecritical information for the HBS North America leadership team.
• Deploy training onterms and conditions, corporate policies and risk mitigation.
• Update standardcontract documentation and templates.
• Advise and assist management team in opportunity/riskassessment.

You Must Have

• Law Degree andbe registered to practice law in Mexico (or another Spanish speakingjurisdiction in Latin America)
• At least 8years of professional legal experience with a multi-national corporationand/or law firm, preferably with demonstrated proficiency in drafting andnegotiating complex contracts in both English and Spanish.
• Good knowledgeof labor subcontracting laws in Mexico.
• Flexibility totravel to visit customers with the HBS team 10% travel time.
