Role Summary:

FBC Sr. Manager key responsibility will be to grow Universal’s Properties presence in main categories and subcategories: Food, beverage, health and beauty, baby supplies, dental care, etc. ultimately increasing company’s revenue.

FBC Sr. Manager will lead the product development process together with licensees and PD Team.  Actively participate in the marketing program definition with licensee and NBCU Franchise team. Represent LATAM’s needs, opportunities and challenges when global deals are negotiated.   

FBC Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing key licensee relationships -global and local partners - in support of NBCUniversal’s brands, across our Film, TV and other IP.

FBC Sr. Manager will lead licensees, along with the Product Development team, to achieve the desired level of quality and innovation in each one of the products that goes into the market representing our properties.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in consumer products field managing world class properties and proven track record of implementing similar programs across FBC categories. 

The candidate should have the breadth of skills required to execute key initiatives & overall growth of the Universal Consumer Products Business.

Responsibilities 

Category Management and Licensee Management:

  • Manage relationship with licensees, Global and local.
  • Actively and constantly prepare and present pitches to generate new business. 
  • Accurately represent the needs of LATAM to global team, during global pitches or negotiations to make sure the potential of the region is reached.
  • Identify opportunities, white spaces and new trends by product, category and related sub-categories, age, segment, market, channel, and franchise to grow the top line business.
  • Contract negotiations for category licensees and contact maintenance
  • Accountable for day-to-day management of category licensees.
  • Partner with the Creative and Brand Assurance team to drive quality and champion innovation in product development. Ensure timely product approvals in line with industry needs
  • Manage a portfolio of licensees to grow the CP business
  • • Finance and Business Planning:

  • Responsible for annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting
  • Analyze account (licensee & retailer) business performance
  • Lead local/regional contract negotiations by analyzing and vetting licensee business plans
  • Lead Quarterly forecast review for category.  Set business review with licensees, gather information, process, and analyze it to be presented both to finance and upper management on quarterly meetings.
  • • Brand and Content Management:

  • Support brand marketing initiatives including the development and execution of category plans
  • Integrate licensees within wider brand and marketing plans
  • • Retail Development:

  • Coordinate with Retail Development team to complement account promotional and marketing plans and ensure key licensee participation
  • Maintain knowledge and communicate to team of key seasonality tent poles
