We are looking for a Program Buyer to Join our team at Ciudad Juarez!
Position Summary:
The Sr. Purchasing Program Buyer – E Components is responsible for material cost, according to the product line strategy, for leading purchasing related projects within a global matrix organization and the coordination in line with the plants and Commodity Management. The Program Buyer is also responsible for purchasing activities related to the acquisition process of sourcing projects throughout initial program gateways, ultimately serving as the technical lead and advanced professional for plant purchasing initiatives in order to support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers for the ES business unit across the North American region (RN). This position will also serve as the back-up to the Purchasing Manager to support global projects led out of other regions.
Responsibiities:
- Provide guidance to technical buyers and execute highly complex purchasing initiatives related to new program sourcing in the acquisitions phase.
- Evaluate purchasing operations, maintain and track personal costs/budget, enforce company policy, and resolve issues with day-to-day operations and/or customers as required.
- Ensure best sourcing recommendations to better Program targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field
- 5+ years of advanced experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.)
- Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e. quality, capacity, cost, etc.)
- Experience with supplier bidding process and complex negotiations
- Experience with APQP and/or project management tools and methods
- Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications
- Deep knowledge of assigned commodity and related commodity market
- Deep Knowledge of cost improvement/containment topics and techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)il
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
- Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
- Solid organizational and time/project management skills
- Experience with SAP
- Ability/willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
- Bilingual English Spanish
- Ability to manage Globally
- Excellent communications skills
