About the Role:


Regional treasury will be responsible for the cash and liquidity risk management, financial risk management, and financing requirements of Colgate Palmolive. The Treasury Operations Analyst is expected to support cash position, cash forecasting, process standardization and trade confirmations/settlements, ensuring all treasury operational activities are executed in accordance with policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Treasury Operations Manager, the Treasury Operations Analyst will be responsible for assisting in day to day tasks and supporting regional Treasury Operations activities. Other specific responsibilities include:


What you will do:


  • Execute the migration of treasury activities from subs and hubs to the regional treasury center
  • Roll out standard process and reports for cash position and cash forecasting for the region
  • Manage daily cash, including cash position, treasury payments, and coordination of cash inflows and outflows with other areas like payroll, tax, P2P, C2C, etc.
  • Consolidate short term cash flow forecast, and prepare forecast vs actual variance analysis.
  • Execute the confirmation and settlement for FX transactions
  • Obtaining approval and execute wires for ad-hoc treasury payments
  • Support of regional reporting requirements
  • Execute month-end closing activities, including financial transactions mark-to-market, accrual process, verification that accounts are reconciled and request of any GL entries for Treasury related activities
  • Gather data to help analyze and model treasury risks (i.e. interest rate risk, FX risk (transaction and translation), and business continuity planning
  • Confirm cross-border payments (ad-hoc & non-trade)
  • Monitor compliance of all treasury activities relative to policies and market best practices
  • Confirm treasury investment and borrowing deals and execute the settlement processes
  • Assist with the treasury function’s audit process for both internal and external audits including liaisons on any audit follow-up points
  • Manage bank account management process i.e. opening, maintenance, signatory updates, and closing of bank accounts
  • Identify opportunities to rationalize bank accounts
  • Drive the simplification of bank signers and bank portal access across the region
  • Manage fees and perform bank fee analysis
  • Ensure that all treasury activities are carried in compliance with approved policies and guidelines, including financial counterparty limits
  • Support daily completion of cash and bank reconciliations between SAP and bank statements
  • Efficient management of bank accounts, end of day and intraday reporting
  • Ensuring that all external debt and interest is properly accounted for and correctly reported on the company’s financial statements working in conjunction with Accounting and Financial reporting as required


What do you need for the position:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related degree required
  • At least 2 years of experience in a treasury, accounting or finance function either in a corporate institution or in financial services
  • Advanced English Level, both oral and written
  • Comfortable with using Treasury management systems – familiarity with Bloomberg and SAP (Preferred)
