The Staff Accountant is a full-time position, salaried position reporting to the Director of Financial Accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up the accounting shell for new clients and work on initial financial statements for new clients.
- Meet with the manager or board members as necessary.
- Assist manager, accounts payable, and accounts receivable with the onboarding process.
- Assist in reviewing budgets, sending reminders to managers, and assisting managers with budget preparation.
- Ensure returns are completed and mailed prior to due dates and related tax payments are made.
- Meeting financial preparation deadlines.
- Prepare monthly financials for a portfolio of clients to be determined.
- Assist in the review of audit reports and booking year-end entries.
- Post global recurring entries for reserves and cash transfers.
- Special accounting projects (budget request, special analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with 3-5 years of association accounting experience or equivalent financial accounting and industry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
- Property Management Experience preferred.
