Staff Software Engineer - Urgent

Coaching team members and help them grow their technical expertise as well as soft skills

Evolve the hiring culture in the team, identify skill gaps, and actively shape job openings to ensure foreseeable requirements can be met in the future

Lead Development initiatives and proactively collaborate with other Development teams, Product Management, User Experience, and other multicultural organizations

Consider Blue Yonder design guidelines and consult Architects as appropriate.

Work as part of an Agile team. Picking up sprint/backlog tasks, reporting on task progress and working collaboratively with the entire team to deliver stories and business value. Follow up on the progress of development and report to development manager. 

Design services to be self-healing and to offer self-service capabilities from the ground up to achieve minimum manual intervention. 

Provide support to our users when they have problems or questions regarding the onboarding or overall operation of our Products

Demo application functionality to external team members, business owners on a continuous basis and explain the existing functionality. 

Work with the team to come up with new ideas to improve overall application functionality and performance. 

Document processes and requirements to support other development efforts by other team members. 

Ability to take new challenges and learn new technologies quickly as and when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or demonstrated equivalent experience. 

7+ years of relevant work experience. 

2+ years of leading teams of at least 4 Software Engineers. 

Experience with Agile development (Scrum, XM or Kanban) 

Experience with DevOps methodologies 

Experience with developing distributed applications on SaaS platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP. 

Experience with back-end frameworks such as Node.js, Java/Spring or Python 

Experience with developing web applications. 

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 

Ability to work with teams globally. 

Travel – less than 10% of the time. 

Bonus skills (Nice to have)

Familiarity with build tools such as npm, Yarn, Gradle and Pypi.

Strong technical background with MS Azure

Experience contributing to Open Source projects

Experience with libraries of Components such as Bootstrap, Foundation, Material UI, etc
