Purpose of the position

• Design, execute and monitor the strategies agreed by the Investment Committee and adapt them to the needs of Fixed Income portfolios, institutional mandates and other mandates, based on the systems and tools available in the area, following the regulatory guidelines. and regulations that apply for this reason, in order to maximize the performance of the portfolios, maintaining at all times compliance with the specific needs of each investment mandate.
• Active participation in various committees/meetings, both local and international.
• Senior support to the sales areas of HSBC Wealth Management, as well as the sales area of Asset Management, both institutional and retail.
• Central support for the design and development of new products. • In charge of coordinating and supervising a Fixed Income investment team with skills and specialization in the debt, forex and derivatives markets.
• Develop fundamental and market analysis for eligible financial instruments in order to select attractive assets for the different mandates and investment funds.
• Contribute to positioning the Fixed Income team as the best in the class inside and outside the institution, and thus maintain high performance in investment portfolios.

Requirements

• High degree of knowledge of the various markets (debt, forex and derivatives) both local and foreign given the scope of the position and the sophistication of the various portfolios in charge.
• Degree in Economics / Administration / Actuary / Engineering or similar.
• Master's degree in economic-administrative areas is desirable Advanced knowledge in mathematics, financial markets, statistics and economics.
• Intermediate knowledge in accounting and administrative bases.
• CFA desirable
• AMIB certification figure 3
• Ability to communicate investment ideas, both in writing and to the investment committee and teams inside and outside of Mexico
• Advanced command of financial English
• Management of staff in charge
